Being mineral-based and unscented, while odour-control is built in, the absence of fragrance means you will not get a “fresh scent” effect — so if you prefer the litter area to smell perfumed, you might look at scented variants.
Even though the litter has strong absorption and granule design, regular maintenance is still required (daily removal of waste, periodic full replacement) to keep performance optimal.
As with many mineral/clay litters, tracking of granules (especially around the tray) is possible; placing a mat under/outside the tray may help reduce this.
The bag is large and heavy (16 L mineral litter can weigh a fair amount) — carrying and handling may be more strenuous than smaller bags or lightweight alternatives.
