For example, if the can is ~ 80 kcal/100 g, a 400 g can contains ~ 320 kcal.
For a 4 kg adult cat, daily energy need might be ~ 160–200 kcal. So about ½ can to ¾ can of 400 g might suffice (or more if active).
It is often better to split into 2 or more meals: feed half in morning, half in evening (or in smaller portions).
